It's SNOWING!!!!!!!

Ok, so I don't actually get THAT excited about the snow. In fact, I cringe when people even mention it. However, It has been snowing all day today. We stayed home and tried to keep warm. We even ventured outside so that Kael could take a look at it all. I have to admit - even though I don't like being IN it - it sure is beautiful.....
Since my last blog Kael has become quite proficient at rolling over every which way. He has so far rolled himself off the couch and the bed. LOL silly kid. Now he is working on scooting himself around. If I leave the room for more then just a couple minutes he will be several feet away just from scooting backwards. He will be turning 6 months old this month and we are looking forward to his first christmas. :)
As for me, I started my diet back on October 10th, and have already lost 35 lbs! The last couple weeks I have been having a hard time sticking to my new way of eating and have gained a pound back here and there but with the help of my health coach I am getting back on track. I will post some progress pictures of me a little later when you can really start to see the difference. Until then enjoy these pictures of the little man!

My handsome little man!

Oh my. My little guy is 3 months old today. It feels like he has been here forever. An extension on my heart that now has a body of his own? Yes, I think so. I have realized that it doesn't matter what kind of a day I have had, all I need is a little cuddle time and maybe a smile or two from him and the rest of it doesn't matter any more. Every day he is my sunshine. I so look forward to seeing him learn everything one step at a time, to be a part of that process, to grow and develop into his own person. I wish I got to spend more time with him, but I know that he is in good hands when I have to be away from him. He is my miracle. Happy Birthday Kael,

Kael's Blessing

The most recent big event in our lives was Kael's blessing at church. It took place on Sept. 7th 2008 at the Eld Inlet ward building. Uncle Bill had the honor of using his priesthood power to bless Kael. It was beautiful, and Kael was so handsome in his little white outfit. I'm pretty sure I cried the entire meeting. And I was so grateful to have my mom, sister Bethany, my grandmother, My brother-in-law Bill, and niece Willow all there with me.

The Infamous Intro

ok....so I will admit it. I am a convert to Blogspot from Myspace. But instead of dwelling on that lets jump stright into introducing ourselves.

I'm Gloriann (still a new mommy !YAY!).

I am 26, live in Washington, and work for the Washington State Dept. of Agriculture. Growing up I was quiet, and shy, and didn't really get out much. Today, I still tend to be shy when I first meet people but then I open up, and when I do WATCH OUT cause i'm a weirdo....kinda, maybe? i don't know. What I DO know is that I'm very grateful for all that I have been given. I feel that I have been blessed beyond measure. I have a truely amazing, and wonderful family (only slightly crazy) that continue to be my constant rock of support which gets me safely through all of the twists and turns that life throws to me.
There are some very important things that I have learned over the past few years.
#1) Everything happens for a reason,
#2) If we don't learn from our mistakes we will keep facing the same trials over and over again, #3) I am DEFINITELY the type of person that has to learn through her own process of trial and error,
#4) Sometimes the most wonderful things can come in the most unexpected ways

Next I'd like to introduce my son, Kael Sabastian.

He was born on June 20th, 2008 (so next week he will be 3 months old!). He is the sweetest little boy, and every time he smiles my heart melts (I know, I know "new mommy syndrom" everything is still sunshine and kittens - but to tell you a secret - I hope it stays this way forever!)
We hope that you will stop by often and check out what we are up to - and watch Kael grow. See you soon!
